FAQ
Common Inquiries
WHAT DO YOU SUPPLY FOR OVERNIGHT BOARDING? WHAT DO I BRING?
We supply water dishes and food dishes, bedding, toys and unlimited attention. Only items you'll need to bring are your dog's pre-portioned food, medications (if applicable) and their leash. Please bring their slow feeder if they use one.
If you reserve a suite for your dog, you can bring their dog bed, toys and treats if you feel this would make their stay more comfortable. If you are booking General Boarding, please leave these items at home. Both the suites and general boarding spaces have furniture and blankets to keep our guests comfy.
HOW CAN I CHECK ON MY PET DURING THEIR STAY?
We automatically provide text + photo updates to the owners cell phone for stays longer than 3 nights. Owners are more than welcome to call/text us for updates as well.
BEING KENNEL FREE, HOW DOES THE FEEDING SITUATION WORK?
All of our guests are fed individually in different areas. This decreases the chance of any food theft from another guest and any possible food fights. Breakfast is served between 6:30a-7a. Dinner between 5:30p-6p. Its normal that a new guest may experience a lack of appetite in a new setting. When this happens, we try feeding later in the day as an appetite may have developed and nerves have subsided. Your canine is sent home with any un-eaten food.
MY PET HAS A SPECIAL DIET. CAN THEIR NEEDS BE ACCOMMODATED?
100%. Please indicate any dietary restrictions upon booking service and any special instructions. Please let us know if a portion or all of your canine's food needs to be refrigerated. All of our guests are fed separately to ensure that your canine gets its needed nutrition.
MY DOG HAS SEPERATION ANXIETY. WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
Our kennel free environment won't be the best fit for dogs that have ultra high anxiety. While the temperament assessment is a good indictor if your dog will thrive here, your dog may feel more comfortable in a suite or possibly in a boarding setting where that is the only dog.
If considering boarding for a dog with high anxiety, we recommend scheduling multiple daycare visits prior to boarding. This will allow your dog to become more comfortable with the environment. Carver Canines has staff 24/7 to ensure all guests are comfortable and safe around the clock.
